I agree. Hence the attempted use of the competition link at the top below the banners. Of course, as only Rob can do this, it can only be changed when he can do it.

Banners would be a better/more effective way as it takes no time at all to upload them but we'd need someone to design them and stuff.

What type of sign-up initiatives did you mean?

@ Claire - I might still have a list of all the clubbing message boards I used when promoting Promise, I'll see if I can dig it out.

being too cliquey is the very essence of this board, it always has been, even when it was meant as a promotional/marketing tool for promise.

if you tried to make it less cliquey then in wouldn't be the promise board anymore :(

(ok i know it isn't the promise board anymore, but you know what i mean :p )

if you want to improve the board get a second life thing going on... that seems to be doing ok for itself

and then you could have the internet warriors actually following up their threats with internet beatings

to be honest i've never used it... i think its something like living your life thru a pc/web thing... you can do stuff like you do in real life... but on a pc. i'm not too sure why tho?

all the peeps from where i got my fellowship are techy so are always going on about it...

i should really know more about it cos i'm gonna be doing something similar

I dl'd it and played for 20mins last night, then it crashed. Can't see what the point is, other than what Ian said above- just live a normal life and buy stuff etc but in a virtual world full of freaks. Bit creepy if you ask me.

don't you have to pay for stuff too or something?

or is that the haribo hotel one? (it might not be haribo but thats what i always call it cos its something like that an sounds like the sweets).

You pay for land/products/everything from what I can gather.

I just played on the tutorial for a bit, mostly trying to work out if I could hit an italian guy who kept saying ciao to me.

What? It costs you real money to go on the internet and pretend to do stuff you should actually be doing?
