i work for these and believe me they are about to come into a load of problems.
1.they have moved all call centres to india
2.they are changing all boxes to tv drive boxes which cost a fortune and are crap (if they are turned upside down at anytime they are fukked)
3.the cables are now struggling to cope with the demand and there are no plans to re-new any of them yet as the cost is too high.
4.an engineer used to collect the boxes and do a proper "hard-disconnect" now they send you a jiffy bag to send it back yourself,this means that nobody disconnects properly so the cable is left "open" ( signal leackage )

i was thinking about getting the Sky 'Base' package - IS it free? i've not got the full sky package main, basic plus 2 addons i think.

also, i've heard loads of problem with people signing up to Sky, marker faults, losing orders - 1 bloke i know has a sky marker on his line but can't get it off as they won't release it. he's had to contact the ombudsman
