    The locals dont generally go out on weekdays though (in any significant number) since they have jobs to work and cant generally turn up hammered from the previous nights drinking.

    Students generally dont give a stuff about that issue which gives them 7 days potential boozing from which to pick and choose from.

    Brid you want to comeback to Newcastle apart from a Monday night (STUDENT NIGHT) the bars are very empty Tue,Wed & Thurs.

    No its not, most bars are empty while on a Sunday they are packed.

    Thursday nights used to be very busy about 10 to 8 years ago.

    Ill be honest, i dont know what point im trying to argue for or against right now.

    Im sure the main issue here was something about why there is the lines between 'townies' and 'students' and hence.... what would be the solution to the invisible lines that seem to be drawn around town and where people go on nights out?

    i only drink at a weekend cos i'm a fanny these days and don't like working with a hangover. :oops:

    it has nothing to do with whats on, price, venue. etc.

    If you go out on a Thursday you will see the bars are empty.

    Yet some clubs pull in really good numbers

    Are the people in these clubs students?

    As you dont even know what day or where Nice is, I find it strange how you can know who is drinking in a club on Thursday night.

    Im surprised anyone knows where Nice is at judging by its went through a ton of venue changes and has been on/off the roster multiple times over the years.

    Apart from a Monday, NOT MANY PEOPLE (students & locals) at all drink in the bars during your average midweek week.

    Anytime you want to go on a FACT finding mission I would be more than willing.
