Smoggle, sorry to nit pick, but in motor sport and winter sport............................what is the second word in both of these
The point I was attempting to make was that I don't class something as a sport when a car does most of the work... hence it is a MOTOR SPORT, not a conventional team sport (ie footy or rugger) or competitive sport (ie track and field). In the whole scheme of things it wil be classed as a sport. But in my opinion (for what it is worth) it is cannot be classed as a conventional sport. I could argue a similar point for bobsleighing but a bobsleigh is not a machine in the sameway as a car! And I was joking with the winter sport post!
ahh golf i reckon i may take this sport up later in life used to play a bit when i was a kid but am to poor to play now
Haha, it was hardly a bite mate! Hence the smiley's! I was just answering your question! Or are you a bit annoyed for that 'irish virus' thing I put up
you know how we irish love a scrap we couldn't find anyone to fight with, so we started on each other
eh ??? You walk and average of 6-7 miles playing a round of golf and require to not only be physically fit but also extremely mentally strong and able to handle pressure. It takes skill, timing and unbelievable dedication to be really good. The professional golfers work and practice far harder that any football or rugby player and the Ryder Cup is arguably the highest profile and exciting team sport outside the football world cup in world sport. Stop talking gobshite !!
