    A mile's all that's on offer!

But you're right, and everyone's reaction has been the same. So have been thinking... Paula Radcliffe was on bbc news yesterday promoting the event, and said that she runs a mile in just over 5mins. So my target is going to be under 5mins30secs, which is no marathon, but at least it's something to aim for and a bit of an acheivment.

Did a fairly comfortably-paced mile on the treadmill last night and it took 6m40s. So have got to trim about 20% off that before July!

And, thanks loads Si

When she says that, she actually means that she does back-to-back miles each in 5 mins, ie 26 of them.

Sorry to piss on your parade. :D

I know, but i'm no marathon runner, and hardly in tip-top condition

Think under 5.30 is a realistic, achievable target.

I'm running this in 11 days, and due to not having been to the gym since 8th June, and drinking pretty much every day since 9th June, i'm not in the best shape ever :(

Still want everyone and anyone to sponsor me though :D :D :D

Just click HERE and fill in your details on the sponsorship form. Even if it's just a £ or two it's better than nowt. :)

Think the site is pretty busy in general today, cos David Walliams is currently swimming the channel and Radio One are getting people to log on and sponsor him.

Thanks to whoever just sponsored me too (don't know who you are on here)     :D
