why? i don't mean like in your own homes and stuff i just mean, on the streets at work, stuff like that.

You wouldn't even realise you were being watched really, i for one never ever notice cctv cameras, it would just be the same.

Im sure you wont - but the new 'anti terror' laws allow that very thing to happen.

Try explaining your attitude to being watched/invaded to the parents of that guy who was shot in the head 5 times on the underground, or the brothers who were dragged out of their homes in the early hours of the morning ..... and then set free with no charge, and no apology.

why is it, things change all the time, things probably haven't changed any more in last ten years than any other ten years in history.

It just you've been around to see the changes so you think its a massive deal, when in reality, its just how life evolves

i did once get stopped speeding, with a flat tyre, no headlight and 3 pissed up mates in the car (i'd not touched a drop). i cried in the back of the cop car and he let me go after telling me "MG Metro Turbos go like stink, don't they?" (it was my car at the time - the copper like it  )

Another time i was speeding, with no insurance, no road tax, no MOT - i got 8 points and a £500 fine. phah. my own fault. even had to go to court - oooo i'd never been in a court room/place before!

    swings and roundabouts

You arent paying much attention to the news.

Im paraphrasing here, but there was something like as many changes made in the past 10 years, than in the past 100 ... or something silly like that.

Personally i think its quite frightening how governments seem to be quietly signing away our freedoms at a rate of knots ...... when in actual fact governments are supposed to be servants of the people.

eh? if people were watched all the time those people would have been seen on camera doing what they were doing and therefore would of been caught/or not if they weren't doing anything wrong.

    Whats your point?

The point is about wanting to stop the floodgates of privacy invasion before its too late.

I dont like giving away my freedoms to people i dont trust. Perhaps you do eh.

your not giving away your freedom though, you wouldn't have to change anything about your life what so ever, unless you deal in criminal activity.

What if your idea of what is criminal or not is different to those of the government.

What if one of your mates was banged up for 10 years in prison because a security camera caught him rolling up a J ?

technology has been advancing rapidly, for hundreds of years which has effective everyone on the planet.

The invention of electricty/the automobile/recording technolgy/the atom bomb all had a lot bigger effect than whats goin on today

I'd be gutted my mate went to prison, but the fact remains what he was doing was illegal so he couldn't blame anyone but himself.

and people would just do it n there own homes anyway, its not like people do that sort of stuff walking down the street so it wouldn't really affect anyones life.
