    Speeding in 30 Zones is by far the worst offence. So i tend not to speed there. I totally agree with cameras in these places.

    Doing 90 on an empty motorway is not unsafe in any way (unless the driver is crap).

    I completely agree about speed killing, and in a pedestrian built up area im very very very careful.

    BUT - i completely object to coppers with guns, white vans parked over bridges and gatso's on the M25 every 300 meters that dont make the traffic any safer ... but line the pockets of others who then mis-spend the money.

    Are the roads safer now there are speed cameras everywhere compared to before? Thats what im interested about.

    all cars are different, so they are talking out there arses on that one, i have to use 3rd gear for around town, not for the shite reasons they give mind :lol:

    if there are no deaths in a 3 year period, are they then "not allowed" to use that site again??


    sounds like an elaborate way of saying "we will put them where the fuck we want sunshine"

    Instead of complaining all the time about getting points for speeding peopl should stop fucking speeding. Don't let them fine you and have money that you don't think is spent well. If they're not getting your money does it matter what they're doing with it?

    If I have a pound for every complaint about speed cameras from my customers at work I'd be a very rich lady. Does my head in :evil:

    I used to say that before i bought a car and realised just how easy it is to go over 30 without knowing it .... and with speed cameras its not like you can learn your lesson and get on with things - theres 2-3 points on your license, a fine, an increase in your insurance and a whole lot of hassle to go through.

    Both speeding and drugs cost lives - its just interesting to see how much peoples attitudes to those seems to vary.

    I suppose this is the clever part where you point out that speeding can kill others, but drugs are a personal choice? .....
