smoking is rank i can't wait till they ban it hopefully the damage isn't done before its to late.

Swear if I get lung cancer, knowing full well I've never smoked a day in my life, i'm gonna go on a rampage and kill all the smokers and can find and see how they like it.

If Im in a restaurant I wouldn't smoke unless in a smoking area or if Id asked the people around me if they minded...in a pub hardly anybody would ask permission for a fucking cigarette for people who arent smoking so why would I not smoke for other people if everybody else is anyways?

I would like to also point out I do not disagree with the idea of the ban but until then Im going to get my fdew years worth of smoking in public places

Some people have entirely missed the point i was making when i referred to smoking in an enclosed place as inconsiderate.

I am not suggesting that people should ask if its ok to poison them, i'm just saying smokers should take their damn filth outside.

i never smoke in a resturant... thats bad manners - while people are eating i think it's a bit nasty.

as to why it's different in a PUB with people drinking - i have no idea

i know i'm a non-smoker but i think banning smoking in all enclosed public places is a bit daft. restaraunts, public transport etc. definately.

pubs/clubs n stuff, taking it a bit too far imo.

I'm suprised it's taken this long for someone to bring out that old chesnut.

Let's look at the facts - now I am quite well aware that alcohol causes major problems, crime etc etc, so I will look at it based on my own habits.

- The odd pint with the mates isn't going to do me any harm. The weekend binge won't be good for me in the long term, but that's the way it goes.

But most importantly of all, by me having a pint, i am only causing any potential harm to MYSELF and not the whole room. When you smoke, you damage your own health AND mine and everybody else. How is this fair?

Now, this of course changes when you throw drink drivers, people getting ran down etc etc due to alcohol, but from the point Miss T makes it's not in the same league as smoking.
