Get a Polo

David Coulthard has a smart car and swaers by it....doesnt have any other cars.

Bloke who runs Revolution in Gateshead hired one when he went to france and he's used to driving super subaru's, he came back trying to convince his missus to buy one, and says that you wont find a nippier car for driving round the town.

Now i think these people's opions count for something. They arent all shit looking though

not yet, but i can drive anything so i'm not that worried.......

what you need to remember is that i need something economical and just a runner to get me to work and back, thats a reasonable price.

If i get a polo it's going to have to be a newish one and above 1.4.....

in a smart i can get nearly 70 mpg

I am also looking at a smart forfour, its not necessarily going to be a fortwo

Thought about getting a diesel polo? I've got a polo twist tdi, it's only a 1.4 but it builds up speed at a decent speed with having the turbo.

you could make a cup of tea and a sandwich in the time it takes for the sequential gearbox to respond when you are running in semi-auto mode.

Polo is safer, more solid. Take a heavy rear ending in a Smart and it's not going to be pretty since your head is so close to the rear windscreen.

Indeed the Smart may well be a Mercedes, that's why they are so pricey, but theres nowt to em.

And doooon't put a dump valve on a smart people will laugh at you

lad from near here had a smart with a dump valve and sounded like a concorde.......it was mental........everyone was like what the fuck is that when they can hear it, and then a smart comes along. ha ha.....

If i get a polo i'd rather have a mk5, and i wouldnt get an sdi cos i test drove one and it was slow as anything, tdi would be nice though.
