My cousin has just bought a Penthouse off my uncle in Bulgaria(hes building a block of flats), he whent over there last year to check the area out for him, you know a bit of "research" and it was apparently amazing. Full of whores that will suck your dick for the same price as a burger, 30p pints and loads of places to go. im going next year when the room is ready, needless to say i wont be eating many burgers ;)

My sister and her husband have been skiing in Bulgaria twice in the last two years. They definitely recommend it.

Romania is a Quality place to ski mate , there wasnt to many borders there when I went but they are not as intolerent as some of the more established european resorts towards borders (you no what i mean)

I stayed in a place called Poiana Brasov Beautiful place plenty to do and wide variety of skiing available ... The locals are all nice , food is great and there are some decent hotels as well . I stayed in the Bradul Hotel and i would recomend it to anyone .

Isnt it nicer to go to a good resort with quality facilities and apres .... rather than chance it with a resort just starting out?

I'm bored of "established" resorts, crowded slopes, queues for lifts, formulaic apres ski and pompus Europeans... I'd rather try something different this year... besides its getting harder and harder to go off piste in many of the established resorts.

Romania sounds the most tempting as the 30p hookers of Bulgaria intimidate me... I'd also love to try Serbia but no one seems to of been there - with the price of these resorts I could probably do both countries

I went to Pas de la Casa last year and thought it was brilliant. There seems to be endless amounts of runs and you can access 3 or 4 resorts via skiing and with your lift pass. The nightlife was ok nothing special though.

canada is on the horizon once more
Andorra - Good for the variety of terrain as your pass will cover you for pas de la casa, el tartar, soldeu and grau roig. When i went in december all the snow parks weren't open but the nike one being built looked super sweet. I don't like using terms for riding abillities but basically we know the shit. In a week i'd say we just about covered all the terrain. Drink is cheap in the supermarket but in the bars its not at all, bout the same as france. Good few bars and clubs around pas to get lashed in, underground being the place to go.

Was going to do a summary of the countries but can't be arsed now, if anyones got any questions ask and ill reply. This year im probably doing austria, france and canada.

I shall be trying to go to Canada for under 300 quid again this year :D

Panorama - up and coming resort, owned by the same people as Whistler. Empty slopes, ultrafast lifts, a huge unpisted section at the back of the mountain, and a couple of hours on the bus from Kicking Horse etc.

Nightlife is minimal, but outdoor hot tubs and the local beer pass the time:D

going in january and febuary (start of each month)... but booked up early.

Jasna (slovakia) looks like its set to be one of the big boarding destinations of Europe... Serbia is a pure budget holiday/beginners paradise resort... however the off piste has the added bonus of unexploded cluster bombs and land mines :king:
