im about to start primary teaching @ uni.... and deffo dont agree with the cane.
obviosly i will see first hand how there are other ways of punishing a child rather than beating them...... so i'll wait and see.
when i start teaching........ i cud never cain a child, i dunno whether its me being soft or what, i find it hard to even raise my voice at kids, at work, and in all the schools ive been training in.....bringing back the cain wud probs upset me more than the kids.... i cudnt bear to think that i had inflicted pain on a young deffenceless little kid... dunno whther im being too soft or what, but i kno for sure i cudnt do it! xx

I thought about doing it when I was under pressure with redundanies in my last job and it was one of things I was unsure about. It was only a years training but I opted to move to a job down here.
