im not ayin hes a shite player mate, the thread is shud Newcastle sell Viana, well look at the situation as it is, hes out of favour and i personally cant see him getting back into favour as Robson is well known for having his favourites, so whats the point in keeping a player that will only get the odd 15 minutes now and then when we can sell him and get somebody else in?

he needs to adapt to the game and he isnt bein given the opportunity. no way should we get rid of him, a fantastic talent, just waiting to ripen. we sell him and one day we'll be watching him kick arse for one of the superclubs wishing we could affrod him.

Plenty of teams would want Viana if he was put on the list.

Hes one of the great young talents in Europe...

Newcastle have a nack of buying great/expensive players and not having a fucking clue when it comes to playing them.

He needs to leave the Skunks if HE wants to achieve anything in his career......... or he could become a underachieving bottler like Shearer.

Played on Sat --- didn't rate him. Always wanted to get rid of the ball, made no runs and never took on one player.

Perhaps lacking confidence but didn't look as if he had 'it'. What do I know though.

i agree, he doesnt even look like a player whos on the verge of being something special, i think its about time he moved on, it may be better for his career to start clean somewhere else :)

Hes the same as Macarone. Bought for far to much on the back of a good international apperance and his performances in a poorer standard league. Needs to adapt a hell of a lot to become any use in the Premiership

he's still young and not getting enough experience in 1st team premiership football, he is our #2 left winger and thats the way it should stay unless he gets better...

also i feel he is out of position aswell, he needs to be playing in gary speed's position to see his full potential.

however, i feel jenas is much more of a problem. god knows how he got the goal on saturday, the rest of the game for him was shite, he bottles everything, doesn't tackle and is scared to take players on, pass and shoot. there really isn't a lot going for him. it's all since he changed the pronounciation of his name aswell from jen-ass, to jee-nas. no good, absolutely no fucking good.

dyer needs to be playing in the centre, attacking play, he is shite on the wing, always coming inside, can't cross to save his life. robson sold solano because he reakons ambose is good enuff, altho we know that wansn't the real reason. he should stick by his guns and have ambrose playing right wing every bloody game.

hope some of that makes sense ;)

Aye defo jenas has been a differnt player this season. its all went to his head i think. he used to always put his foot in like.

Craig - wasnt hugo playing on the wing tho??

hes better in the middle :D

I didn't know that, makes sense as he never took on one player like a winger should.

Lads I think Viana has the same problem as our Portugese starlet Helder Postiga at Spurs. I've seen Viana a few times and he is definitely a quality player but like you say he was played out of position on the wing, lost his confidence and now doesn't seem able to do it when he does get in the team.

Its been the same for Postiga this season. Looked out of his depth early on, but since Kanoute's been away he's started to look better, but with a shortage of goals and now Defoe added to the strikeforce he is effectively fourth choice :(

I think both of them will end up moving on probably to Italy or Spain. I wouldn't mind having Viana at Spurs as he and Postie might gel in the same team.

Good player but never gets a chance in the first team and he complains about it. And when he is given his chance he never performs well. We should have loaned him out, but i say keep, will be class player fro the future.
