That doesn't mean that there don't appear to be more wankers there now than towards the end of its run at foundation.

Although I suppose it does mean that they might eventually fuck off back to the bigg market.

I think the increase in cocaine use as oppossed to ecstasy amongst clubbers has lead to an increase in wankers in all clubs too

Ive not really come across any serious trouble or seen much to be fair (maybe one or two scuffles in 8 months, but that isnt bad for a Saturday night weekly club in the toon)..

I must agree there has been a few more "beer" boys in than usual, but that was always going to happen moving to the Central Station end of town I think...

I dont see it as a problem tho.. we have still been doing the numbers on the big nights and ticking over ok in between..

but its a notoriously bad time for clubs and bars in between those bank holiday weekends... every year!...

and I wasnt having a pop at anyone in particular earlier when I said Im sick of hearing about people "missing Foundation"...

everyone is entitled to their opinion, and Im quite interested to hear it...

just on here, dont stay in and NECL theres been lots of "I miss the good old days" and "its not the same as it used to be" crack lately..

its never going to be the same, it was like this when Riv changed to foundation.. and the same when we moved from Bliss to Riverside in 1995..

It's different now, and I feel in a slightly better way :)

My gripes about digital: the layout is poor, there's too many little nooks and crannies for hiding in. The sound is top notch though.

Foundation was great but the sound system was shagged and it did need a lick of paint. The last refit it had was over 5 years ago as far as I'm aware. What they did with the DJ stand in the last few months before promise went destroyed the look and feel of the place :(

My ideal venue? Foundation with the Digital soundsystem and a lick of paint (not too much ;))

    Absolutely

Ket aswel....the latter being a proper dancefloor wrecker (in a bad way) in terms of atmopshere (not violence as that would be almost impossible)

Is it just me or do more people seemed to just be getting pissed aswell?

With digital , I agree about getting a chill out bit plus there needs to be more bogs.....it ruins your night if you have to go downstairs for a piss every 5 minutes

The atmosphere in terms of the music was good at digital when i went........

..... but ive finally put my finger on what didnt feel right - the people. It was a bit like promise in the very early days where it attracted the tryhard arsehole crowd for a while and the place just felt imposing and unfriendly.

Thats what digital felt like for me - i just didnt feel like i would ever end up talking to anyone outside the group i went out with or anything - kind of like clubbing in a bubble. Personally thats not for me.

None of the trouble I mentioned escalated into an actual fight but I've known three mates to get started on and someone that bumped into me upstairs tried to start with me.

I've had some good nights there but I've just came across a few dick heads that I didn't at foundation.

"giz a pill ya daft cunt" was also a good one.

How can you possibly say that. It's nothing like digital.

I think it is, the only thing that makes digital different is the mirrors, and lights
