so how do you try to stop the "pikey" element getting in and spoiling things without the door staff appearing discriminatory?

It could of been anyone tbh, I wouldn't just blame a charva, some people get too pissed/drugged up and do daft things. I just don't understand these people at all.

I can quite easily say that was the worst crowd I've ever experienced in my 7 years of clubbing.

I was very close to completely losing it at a few points in the night.. and I've been said to have the patience of a saint!

I never had any problems with any charvas.. I never even seen any..
All the ones I had bother with were fully grown men.

Hopefully.. I'm praying.. that the crowd is different on nye..

I think the crowd in Digital has just got worse and worse has time has gone on to be honest.

I cant understand the mentality of somebody who would throw a glass like that, not thinking about what could have actually happened in a worst case scenario.

A good mate was glassed in Whitley Bay on Saturday which is worse anyway, but a similar sort of thing. Idiots. Throwing/using glass on somebody has an intent to really injure them, and if they dont think in advance they really are fucking thick.

I wasnt there on Saturday but would have been really pissed off by the situation if I was.

Lets hope the crowd was worse than usual as a one off.

I imagine Digital but how can you tell by the way they are at the start of the night? Some of the people look nice. I think they should just go round chucking out people. But that would never work cos they would get the wrong people sometimes and it would just be harsh. I dunno. Its just all gone a bit wild recently

exactly Katie.. its a big club on a Saturday night in Newcastle..

without actually stopping everyone on the way in and having a 5 minute conversation with them you cant really tell what sort of person they are..

the doormen use their sense and try and pick out what they think are "typical" rough looking types who might cause bother.. and to be fair they knock a hell of a lot of people back.. sometimes unfairly .. but they have to do a job.. like you say some look ok on the way in until they have had a skinful..
