I think it's more the fact that it's digital and to the unwashed masses in town it's still "the new nightclub", and with it being close to everything else in town people still go along for a look.

Saying that I used to see some states in foundation too, anyone wanting proof should just search for "chickenheads" on here ;)

I remember when sasha was on at the dig the weekend of their 11th birthday and we came across a charv with a stripy top, rockports and a cap raving his tits off next to one of the pillars.

My mate went over and just started cracking on with him, the conversation was immense:

mate: "so do you like this kind of music?"
chav: "yeah, really love sasha, big fan of all of his stuff"
mate: "ah cool, nice one, whats your favourite track out of all of them?"
    chav: "encore un fois"

I spat my drink out laughing

Guys i stand out side the club every saturday night, and belive me the door staff have a fantastic understanding of what shindig is about and what kind of clubber we would expect to find in digital on that night.

I get to see people going into the club and when people walk past me they can be the nicest kids ever. Give it a couple of hours and the same kid is getting thrown out of the club eather pissed or off it and is full of anger. A total contrast to a few hours before.

Now belive it or not there is only 1 or 2 times i have ever seen a stripy top get thrown out. If we are going to talk about items of clothing that seem to be the top of choice for the troublesome few in the club All Saints tends to be the top of choice.

Shindig, Digital and its door staff work very hard to ensure you have a safe and friendly clubbing enviroment. There is not another club in Newcastle with a less intimadating atmosphere.

couldnt agree more Alan..Its a very difficult job to tell how someone will act after sevral more beers and god knows what when they are inside the club..

It's a Saturday night in Newcastle and we had 1300 people through the door..

Even if 300 of them were what other people will class as "undesirable" once in... there was still 1000 decent people in there..

I've chatted to one of the doorstaff, and he said they knocked shit loads of people back on Saturday who were obvious bad uns.. Well over a hundred he said..

It's not like we don't try.. but people tend to forget its not the size of the Cosmic Ballroom or WHQ.. and it's a well known Saturday night spot for tourists..

It is how it is.. but we will always try and improve things..

Looks like me and you on the door on Saturday again then Alan?

I think everyone recognises the problem...

Digital is a big club, Shindig is the biggest clubbing 'brand' in Newcastle and as such will attract all sorts of people. Plus it's not always the 'beer boys/charvers/whatever' that kick off.

Bet everyone on here has got a mate who is sound as fuck normally but that can just kick off randomly... I know I've got a couple.

You want to go to the big nights, that's what you get. Fabric doesn't exactly have the best crowd.

Totally, I went to Fabric last Friday, and there were some proper pikeys in there.

While other times I've been it's had a pretty good crowd.

Have to admit that when I was flyering afterwards, everyone who was coming out seemed sound enough but as usual, one dafty tarnashes the occasion with a bit of argy bargy.
