If people are annoyed at drinks prices for their Shindig weekender, they're going to blame Shindig. Most punters don't know, or care about how it works behind the scenes. As far as they're concerned it's Shindig.

    Which makes it ok?

People should be arsed to find out who is responsible for things before just blaming who they think is responsible. You wouldn't like it if others took the same attitude would you?

Not at all, but it doesn't stop people coming home from their shindig weekend and moaning about the drinks prices.

Moaning about the drinks prices - fair enough.
Blaming Shindig for the drinks prices - not fair.

It reminded me of the back room in space. I've got a bump on my head from when I first went in. The contrast from light to dark blinded me for about 10 mins

Well said fella my thoughts exactly, if it wasnt for shindig we wouldnt have anything like this happening in the town, people should be grateful that we have a club like shindig on our doorsteps who are able to bring in some of the worlds leading dj's in their genre instead of whinging all the time if its not to their liking.

How could they do that? That would mean potentially 6,000 people turning up!!

they could do it like they do the guestlist - anyone turning up with a ticket until a certain capacity is reached gets free entry, or at the very least discounted entry.

expecting you to shell out £6 on top of the £30 for the tickets if you want to go to the afterparty is shit, esp if you've already paid once to see the DJ's in question (with the exception of fanciulli who only played the afterparty)

    result

i think trafalgar leisure haven't made a sound business decision - if you think about it they could have stuck to the agreement and kept the prices low, then it probably would have been held there next year as well :)

instead they decided to cash in

£6 is discounted entry really. Was a bit of a bargain to see all that talent behind the decks

if they'd sold the drinks rather cheeply about 50% more probably would have been sold anyway!

    £3.80 for a 330ml can of bud.

    that is actual daylight robbery!

There was no where to fill water up either (which i tink was deliberate) and i ended up spending £7.50 on water!

Didn't get there in time for Dubfire, is this the tune everyone's banging on about though?

    Enjoy the Silence
