you'd think that if budweiser sponsored the event the beer would be cheaper...

Its one of the main reasons they do sponsor it I would imagine so they can have a monopoly on the beer.

Doesn't it mean that they provide the beer cheap to the venue, and give money to the promoters, but can't actually determine the price of it when the venue sells it on? In my experience of the Powerhouse management, they will charge whatever they think they can get away with. Which in this case, as there were no alternative places to get a drink from (all the bars involved are owned by the same guy that owns the Powerhouse), was a hell of a lot!

Your all stupid fools for going to this. Even a small house loving child could have seen this was going to be nothing more than a complete rip off/farce.

Im just gutted it didnt rain on you all as well.

you can't fault the vision and largeness of the idea, just a shame they sold out and couldn't deliver

I don't give a fuck who sponsors it or whos backing what or who's name is on the stage, I'm there to enjoy the music and the atmosphere and thats what wasn't there outside on sunday.

i'd hardly say they sold out. Morillo's a big name which you need at a big event but most of the other DJs booked were pretty underground. Price was a a lot but they always are on bank holiday weekends

Have just found out from a very reliable source that Budweiser in fact didnt set the prices.

The Powerhouse set the prices, and Budweiser are a bit upset with them.

Shindig had absolutley no say in the prices either.

Shindig has to take responsibility for the price of the drinks ... I spent about £200 on the day on booze for two of us and all I have to show for it is a lump on my head from walking into a big fuck off pole in powerhouse.

Scott Bradford did buy me a drink though and I was chatting to Dubfire for a bit, sound bloke.

Dubfire was excellent, so was Lawler but they played for 5 hrs between them and we would normally be charged £10-15 max for them.

Good night but disappointed over all.

I felt a bit like that. Watched them most of the night but felt like I was paying extra for the outside bit.

That'll be because they all have the same management/owner setting the prices.

Shindig can't really take any responsibility for the drinks prices, as it is always up to the venues to set them. Promise or Shindig (or any other night) don't set Foundation's drink prices. However, it might have been a good idea for Shindig to get something in their contract with the Powerhouse to ensure that they weren't as ridiculous as they were.

That's my point, therfore they could have done something to control it and it was there responsibility.

As said, the same guy owns all the bars and the Powerhouse.

Shindig are going to release a statement about it soon, so should clear everything up.

£2.50 for a bottle of water too. Took about 10 mins to fill it up in toilet with those taps!

Morillo looked a bit worse for wear at the end. Think it was right that Lexicon Avenue took most of the limelight at the afterparty. Lawler was pefect to step in with the odd record,he has to be one of the best technicl DJs.
Seal - Killer as last tune was the perfect end
