I dunno what make, but i know that when i turn them upside down they have dinosaur feet on the soles. ;)

but nah honestly, when i wasnt a lazy fucker i bought a lot of supps from myprotein and they were very good quality.

i also recommend the ultrafine scottish oats from them, because i fuckin hate making porridge in a morning, basically all ya do is add some milk to it and shake fuck oot of it. Then neck it.

tastes a bit like gritty milk, but its a lot faster than waiting on stodgy porridge :D

the fine oats are good though mate, expecially if you are at work or something and need a good bit of intake.

If you want to save money mate on next purchase at my protein try..

    www.bulkpowders.co.uk

put that into the price match section. you can get 5 kilos of unflavoured whey protein concentrate (... here comes the people about isolate!) for 32 quid delivered.

    bargain :)

So what will this do for someone who eats moderately sensible (I eat decent food, but also add some shitty stuff like sweets and crisps if they're going spare)?

    I do weights/pull ups/press ups/sit-ups etc fairly often..

Really though? From what I've read in the past I got the impression that you need to be pretty strict with your diet before anything can effectively supplement it.

I think I was a little generous on myself earlier.. I don't eat that healthily in comparison to someone who was in a decent gym routine. I also get pissed at the weekend and some weeks when I'm busy in college/work all week I don't get a chance to do exercise.

i get pissed pretty much every other night for a laugh - but tend to work weekend nights, so that makes up for it.

tbh, it depends what you want out of it. protein is protein - it's the very most important substance to build muscle, however it only supplements your training - your diet is another massively important factor in gaining results.

    example, for me - 6 small meals a day = gas. :(

If you are looking to gain weight then adding the protein to your diet would aid in adding mass.

if you aint training it might just turn to fat though so take it easy :)

as kieran says though, its important to have lots of protein when building muscle. without it the gains would be minimum.

many people over estimate their protein needs. you dont need to take in anymore than 1-2g of protein per kg of body weight in one day. No matter how big you want to get or how much weight you can lift, anymore than 2g's is just wasted.

with carbs its much greater depending on how much exercise you do. you need to take in between 5-12g per kg of body weight per day. The greater amount being for endurance athletes.

OK so I'll get into a better routine with the exercise and eating before I start worrying about supplements ;) A few of my m8's have bought supplements thinking it's some miracle powder that makes you grow into popeye if you eat it every day but I tried telling them that it's simply a SUPPLEMENT to what you already NEED to be doing.
