i have to say that i have respect for robbie williams and it aint for the songs he sings. granted i do like some of them but the guy is a true entertainer, its what he loves doin.

plus not only does he detest the songs he sings, he's also got the bollox to say so. he may not be one of the greats but you can't deny the guy respect for what he has achieved.....£80 million!!! i'd sing a load of songs that i don't like for that amount of cash!!!

Demand and money does not make someone a great musician - granted music is personal and one mans chalk is another mans cheese... But you have to look at the music at some point... Both Robbie and Elton write pop songs that will be lapped up by the masses - there is nothing complex, innivotive, amazing about any of their songs - they're just easy listening.

Me not liking Elton has nothing to do with how I rank him, my father is currently taking clascial guytar lessons from one of the masters - he's paying £35 an hour - thats less than he'd pay for a mechanic to fix his car... Something is wrong where someone who has dedicated his life to perfecting a musical artform earns so little and some cocky stoke shaven monkey gets an £80 million contract because goons like you lot buy the music.
