Rising damp?

    I have the guarantee and it says the work was done in November 1995 and it's guaranteed for 30 years.That's the company I've been trying to get help from.

    Home insurance doesn't cover rising damp. The main things it covers are stuff like fire, theft, malicious damage, storm, escape of water (damage caused by a water leak). Insurance companies will not pay out for anything they can put down to wear and tear

    Well your insurers should be able to get in touch with the company for you if not maybe a solicitors letter as there in breach of there contract if there not going to honour the terms of there contract tell them youll get someone else involved and youll forward the costs onto them

    Or enquire to see if the company has a head office and take it further

    Amy ring them and give them hell. that is what you would usually do, it seems to work too! :)

    It would work if I could get through to someone that matters!

    I'm gonna ring them every day, maybe even twice a day until they get someone to speak to me who knows what they're talking about. Hopefully they'll get sick of me and give in :lol:
