What your talking about is the tailend of the Norteast/scottish rave scene when Happyhardcore plus the start of when all the charva shite came in and most decent poeple moved on from the rave scene or got into gabber.

The early Rez's and Judgement day used to book really good dj's and acts as metioned earlyier you went from The prodigy,Moby,Laurent garnier,Joey Beltram,Carl Cox,Nipper,Fabio and Grooverider to Mc Techno T, Dj scott,Force & Styles at the end.

But the early raves were really good and musically diverse.

Marley the Banging bunny was my last Rez i remember Paul elstak and Dj Hype being good.

this was my era when i actually discovered dance music

prodigy, carl cox, bass generator, technotrance at the mayfair on my 16th birthday with my first dabble. unbelievable.

then went to loads of rez's in scotland and dreamscape's/helter skelters down south etc alongside judgement days.

saw james along the way quite a few times as well :)

I've got a couple in a box in the loft. You can see me on stage in them taking pictures for M8. Especially the Awakening 96 video at the bells and when Ruffneck Alliance were on stage.

    :D

I've still got the vids (now on dvd) of The Equinox and The Event 2, the vid of The Rushes "Best Of '95" is also somewhere. I've also still got the tape packs from The Equinox and Event 5 in their cases under my bed. Plus almost every set released on tape, in mp3 format, spread across 2 dvd's

The Laurent Garnier set from The Event 2 is still quality. The first track is class  - and it's from way back in 1994 as well!

I've just had a look and I've still got the Equinox album they released too. The mixed, and unmixed disc's, that Marc Smith compiled....

The Sun Always Shines, Fuck Them, The Rez Anthem, Pump Up The Noize.... - they're all there.

Oh, and Lenny Dee & Darrien Kelly "Schoom" :cool2:

Fucking hell, they bring back memories :)

Rez 5 was my intro to the good life. I remember walking in and just not believing what I was seeing. Definitely different from a night on the boat in yer shirt, trousers & oxford shoes!!

I went on to see some class lineups. Faves include N-Joi & Shades. Enjoyed the Prodigy night aswell.
Didn't Carl Cox turn up virtually every time as "Special mystery guest 3-Dex".

I didn't go to any of the events in Scotland after having a REALLY bad time at Holocaust.

Went to the two at Crammy, The Beast and All Night Circus. I'll never forget how surreal I felt when hanging upside down on the barfly wall. Bizarre!!

Galactica down at York racecourse was class aswell.
I'm almost shaking with the memories now!!!

    **Big sigh**
