also most of the guys at the law firm i'm at also have 1st class law degrees ranging from cambridge to leeds met.

maybe it due to the actual intelligence of those studying law at northumbria that they achieve so little 1st's?

well every1 else was talking bullshit so i thought i'd be fun to join in!

i'm the 1st to admit that i don't know much bout whats required to get into industries apart from what i want to do, jus love when peeps make sweeping generalisations that are poop...

why is is every used to say a maths degree is the best and now im doing it appareently it means shit now

bollocks, i study at teesside uni as i wanted to stay at home while i'm @ uni.

but i'm currently employed by one of the top 5 law firms in the country. how does that work then, my dad isn't a barrister/solicitor and teesside isn't the most prestigious of uni's?

p.s. there is no such job as a lawyer in the UK that is an american term for a solicitor.

i'm doing a 3 year LLB, after that i have a conditional place at either chester or york law school where you train to either be a solicitor / barrister etc.

i've just secured graduate sponsorship to train to as a solicitor and hopefully then onto a barrister. i'm planning on specialising in competition and eu law.

life is good.

can't say i do mate, unless he was in one of my seminar groups i'm not likely to know him... my course if full of pricks so i chose not to socialise with most of them.
