so people say, but imo it rocks since i've had it on my pc i haven't had a single virus, spyware, homepage change, spam and no advert banners on any websites for four years, that pretty impressive if you ask me.

Ran spybot, it found 58 problems but hasn't removed it. Installed IE7 and that hasn't either...:wtf:

Housecall also still dies mid scan, it just shuts the browser down completely its weird :spangled:

just look on the homepage for the patch to remove the website, it normally has it in the help files or whatever on the page your trying to get rid of

tbh.. would it not be easier to just reinstall windows..

Machines are so fast these days it can be done in about 30mins and if u have a second hard drive you can backup all your data before formatting.

As for removing that tool bar.. it should be in view -> toolbars or something.
    Just deselect it :)

None that you know of - the antivirus, for a product of it's size and "fame," is unacceptable.

Seriously, there are better products, for free.

Norton is also a massive system hog and is almost as intrusive as AOL software.

I did some work for a small business a while ago; their entire network was down. Guess what the cause was.....I've done work on individual PCs with Norton which were playing up. Scanned with AVG and it's found several trojans Norton missed.

(PS - No advert banners? Thats sounds more like a modified HOSTS file as opposed to Norton doing it....i've not seen that from Norton, especially not a 4 year old version, but then i may have misinterpreted any i may well be wrong)

But if it's doing the job for you then fair enough, perhaps will be a good idea to do the occasional spybot or avg scan just to be on the safe side. My dislike of Norton comes more from the commercial side of things tbh. Still i never ever reccomend it!!
