Actually, I used to work for M&S and when they said they were closing down all of their european stores the French had some law that said you can't close down a store without the consent of the stakeholders or something like that. Good move le France!

fashion for the most part in the uk consists of jeans, tshirt, & trainers.

it is us that has little concept of fashion not them.

anyway, love france, good wine, amazing food, nice weather. can't wait for my holiday in the south of france later this summer.

lol, craig, have you met MOST french people? I very much doubt it! This so called arrogance is mostly protrayed on TV....on purpose!

They have a mostly better Climate than us, some MUCH richer cities than us, some of the best arciatecture in the world, a very efficient road system...their way of life seems pretty sound to me. What's so different about their way of life? Other than they drive on the other side of the road?

Try putting a frenchman in a room full of certain english DJs and he would probly label us the most arrogant nation in the world

Likes: Weather, Paris, Monaco.

Dislikes: Unshaven pits, BO, stripey jumpers, berres, garlic and onions.

one of my best mates is from paris, and he's spound as fuck... probably a lot sounder than a lot of english people i've met, so to stereotype a whole nation is just fuckin ignorance........... i suppose all englishmen wear pearly kings and queen suits and eat jellied eals while drivin round in mini's and morris minors!!! utter racist crap!

I like the french:

-Great weather
-Great country, cities, culture,
-Great food (if you know where to go)
-Great language

only thing i've never understood is the hairy pits on women, thats just wrong.

The french are arrogant, at least 99% of the many french people I have met are.

Because they are arrogant... its part of their culture, its the way many of them are. Not all are... but having met many french people and travelled to france many times my experience is the vast majority have an air of arrogance.

Its what makes them french, different nations have different characteristics... that is theirs

because some of us have seen beyond our television screens?

not all french people are arrogant obviously.. but the french 'strike' culture and their political stance on various issues certainly paints a picture of french arrogance...

in the same way much of europe thinks we are weak and dirty
