    liverpool more unfriendly than london? are u mad?! everytime i've been to liverpool i've had no bother, then again its always been for football or clubbing like.

    From my own experience, I've lived in Birmingham, Leeds, Worcester, Newcastle, New York, Liverpool and London..

    None have been particuarly more or less friendly than another.. I think it's down to the person.. someone who's been in one place all their life especially if it's as insular as the north east probably would think London is unfriendly but I reckon that is more to do with the fact it's different from what they've been used to..

    Liverpool was the most deprived and unwelcoming place I've lived, I found the people to be quite deceptive and self consumned within their own mini scouse-culture, self-pitying and also exceptionally backward.

    Newcastle on the other hand was brilliant, without being too stagnant, I think that has a lot to do with the amount of students though.. I didn't feel threatend once in five years and everyone was incredibly friendly.

    London is just a mix of every other part of the country, I think I saw more rudeness and anti-social behaviour on the Metro from town to Chilli Road in a week than I have in nearly a year of being down here.. it's a complete fallacy.

    Sheffield is the same, I suspect for the same reasons. There is nowhere I would not walk in Sheffield at any time of day or night.

    both times ive been to london. all i would see is contant misserable faces. some of the people were nice, but the majority werent. it seemed to be black people who were the nicest, helpful and funny.
    even the poeple in record shops looked pissed.

    It's all subjective really, last time I was in London some people were being well arrogant but I assume they just didn't want to speak to some buckled clueless natives with weird accents at 5 o clock in the morning.
