Reet, we're all gonna fuck you up ;)

As far as control pads go, I have PC-Line shitty thing that I found in a drawer. Grid isn't hard on the requests.. all you have to do is steer, brake and use your noggin ;) I've recently found that a tad of handbrake in the drift can do (unrealistic)wonders :D

So, Lee and MOS added to the crew

i hate drift. can't be done with a keyboard - you've got to do it in reverse if u know what i mean, have it on full tilt then use the foot brake. stupid thing.

anyone up for monday daytime spin?

I'm not sure if I understand you, I haven't tried the keyboard yet, but how would it differ from using a control pad?

I'll try it when I have a game in an hour.

well, on an analog pad , u can adjust how much acceleration u want - with a keyboard it's on or off. so i have it on full whack then tap the brake to control how much power i use - otherwise i just doughnut

I'm using a PC Line pad, no analogue sticks.. just a PS1 style pad.. exactly the same actually with the button placements/functions.

Spinning out in drift depends on the car too, the RX-7 will spin out pretty easily. My favourite is the Sylvia.. doesn't accelerate to high speeds too quickly or spin out much.

Tip is, start to turn into the drift, and tap the handbrake to push the back end out, keep tapping the direction you're drifting in to control it, or if you're under steering you can hold the direction down as long as you need to. Tapping the handbrake will help with under steer too. You can get a bit of a sideways slide going on to extend widen the path of your drift by using the handbrake too. It becomes very easy once you find your technique.. scoring big points is the problem :p I'm addicted to the drift now though.

a new found irony with this game is, i have the original disc, i installed the real one, i leave the disc in the drive to play - securom tells me i dont have the correct disc installed

so for possibly the first time in my life, im doing something with software thats legal, and the sata optical drive is fucking it up!

im back to a cracked no-cd.exe

I'm mastering the drift like.. can easily hit 20mil+ on 2 laps of the A1 docks track. Really wish i had the luxury of playing from the comfort of my room though instead of being sat at a pc like a loser :p

Has everyone given up on this then?

I can safely say it's the best racing game I've played mostly because of the Drift mode :D

5 laps of the docks A1

Haha. The drift in those parts are the harder ones. Japan is the easiest. And the single player drift is piss easy! Just turn easy and use the handbrake to slide the rear of the car out.

I still haven't completed the single player though i can't pull myself away from the multiplayer drifts :D
