    I was trying to remember if this ever happened with dnb in toon but it seems not, perhaps with house n techno but dubstep, never thought i'd see the day.


    also the promoter calender thing dont work for me like hew.

    It's a tricky one like.
    As we're running a weekly, we're always going to find points where our bookings conflict with other promoters.

    The thing is, we haven't booked Joy Orbison from the point of view of him being a Dubstep artist (his agent even told us that he was specifically refusing to play for dubstep nights).

    We've got absolutely no interest in promoting a Dubstep event, we'd rather leave that to other promoters who know much more about the scene and have a genuine passion for the music (heavyweight, DV8 etc).

    We have got an interest in promoting new sounds which peak our interest however, and the blend of Detroit Sounds & Broken beat in Joy Orbisons work is something that all of us involved in Dada have been heavily taken by and are keen to promote to others.

    If i'd booked someone who was more in keeping with current house-trend I'd be having to justify why I'd done it in the same weekend as Jaunt.

    Things are really looking up it has to be said, January is a notoriously shit month to put bookings on but I reckon the second last weekend, if they've got something good going will be okay and the last weekend is chops off payday students back loans in resolutions cancelled madness ensued.

    Calibre of booking's on the grape vine over the next few months also looks quality so I've been rendered a happy man.
