I stopped going to Promise cos I was bored of trance every week, and nothing else on offer upstairs.

Hope it works out Mark. 3rd Birthday might be the re-birth of Promise!

I dont really think it's a shame whats happened here, promise isnt dying, just evolving, and seeing as i have varied tastes, the fact the new night will offer more variety, is a good thing to me, and hopefully it will inject something new into the NE scene

aaww god that lil statement has made me feel like i wanna cry god thats soo sooo sad but i do mebbes think that its more for the best cos at least when it is on its gonna attract more of a crowd...aaww its dead dead sad though but it aint just promise its the whole of clubland that seems to be ogin thru a bit of drought at the mo...
ya cant blame the msg board as such though mark, i know that theres one hell of a lot of opinionated fuckers on here but thats hardly got anythink to do with the fact that people arent goin propa clubbin as much as they used to...i reckon it'll be loads loads betta now that it has gone forthnightly cos at least loadsa ppl will be ere n club will be full most weeks!! think of it as a positive thing rather than a negative thing i reeli do think that its gonna be 4 the best!!! dont be dead sad about it though its just the way the whole of clubland seems to be goin at the moment xxx

when u say bigger more commercial line ups, what do you mean?

and i remember u saying a while ago that you'd be able to put on much bigger line ups if it wasnt weekly, in the same vein as crasher puts on a huge line up every month? what do you say to that now?

well strictly speaking in a business sense it IS still on every week.

As for Promise changing it will get the same fuss as when it was announced crasher was goin monthly. But if it is something that has to happen to keep the club goin then it is a good move.

Having Promise every fortnight will be welcomed a lot more when you realise that its better than not having it at all. Im sure the Cream regs are a hell of alot more pissed off as they only get a "Cream" night once in a blue moon!
