    FYI I have now taken the stream offline.

    I would say that this was a pretty successful trial, I'm guessing that we will have some sort of a radio station up and running within a month (maybe not 24/7 at first).

    I need to discuss things with Mark/Richard but I'm sure that they will be up for this.

    Any budding djs who have broadband & decks at home and would be interested in running a weekly show (prob 3 hours long) please mail me. You don't have to be the gods gift to mixing, you do need to be prepared to talk on the radio etc.

    You could consider getting together with a few other peeps to do a show (one dj one talker one tea maker).

    No promises you will get on or that it will ever happen.

    the bedroom dj idea is good.. i tired that with my 56k.. is a bit slow... but shoutcast and winamp is easy enuf to get working :)

    I think we will be using windows media encoder but it will be setup by a file I will send to peeps, it's easy as to install.

    was a lil harder for me 6mths or so ago.. had to type a fair bit of code n stoof to get shoutcast and people servers to heard my 56k magnificent mixin ;)

    i wud be up for a sesh with a few people like. :)

    I used to do RealAudio broadcasts a while back, running my own RealServer on the broadband connection. If you're interested in doing a show with me, I have the whole decks, mixer and PC setup organised again in a professional setup. Drop me a line if you're interested - the place is setup a bit like a studio with sofa in the corner, spotlights, and decks/mixer/pc in a custom built unit :)

    I'll put some ideas down in a PM, see what you think of them and put some down of your own...

    .. then we gotta sort out the material for the show, features etc - assuming Rob's offer is still open :)

    Cool :D in that case I'll get back to ya shortly with some details once i know what I'm doing and if Karl is gonna bring his brand if irevverant humour :D

    BTW.. can you PM me the details of what i'll need to install as the streaming encoder, the bit rate, server name, ID/Pass etc etc.. you know which info I'll need to get started and send broadcasts to the server.

    One more thing.. are you sticking with Windows Media (8 or 9) or using another codec like RealAudio?
