if you focus the night around 1 headline DJ you're not really creating the buzz for the night though, rather just 'X' is on, and not saying 'Promise' is on

sheridan's style the last few times i've seen him isn't my taste to be honest but i'm suprised by the overall GOOD reaction to the news of Promise coming back - people aren't too bothered about who plays - they're hoping the atmopshere is there and some of the old people that made it so good

well said Phil. I never went to Promise, or didnt go, because of the headline DJ that was on. It was always about the atmosphere and the people. Who gives a toss who's on, i'm just really looking forward to hopefully the same type of crowd that Promise pulled in and the atmosphere those people will create.

many times we used to go without knowing who was on!!

with the internet nowadays, it's very much different

ok ok - it WAS only like 4 years ago but you've got to admit even in that shorter time how people go clubbing has changed!

I think its once again got to do with the history behind the night and trying to recreate that personal atmosphere, and promise and adam always had a great mutual respect for each other.

It's good to have a name like Promise back in town. For me it's a place/night where I truly began to appreciate the music im into now & got to see some of the best DJ's I ever will, having the chance to be part of it a few years back & again now, is for me an Achievement.
We all have our memories & although we cant bring Foundation back I hope we can revive at least a little bit of its atmosphere when Promise was held there. We know how well small cutting edge underground nights can go off & we all know how much nights like Promise & more recently - junior:G are missed, so I guess heres the chance to get on board & be part of something fresh that will hopefully bring back something we all love & dearly miss.
