well in the first picture 2 people have fooking caps on! You dont wear a cap when you turn out in a nightclub on a friday in one of, if not the best night in the north east. Unless your all going bald.
No I don't, i only posted the link to my site so people could have a look if they wanted to and didn't expect to get a comment back saying me and my m8's are the kind of people promise could do without. I don't think we look like charvas to be honest.. when i see people walking in with checkered shirts on or rockports, blah blah (u know the usual labels/styles) I think 'hmm charvas' and you can usually tell if they're are the troublesome type. I didn't know u were a charva if you wore a t-shirt with 'fox' on it, or 'bench' or a cap, or held a glowstick in your hand. I consider myself to be a very friendly person as are all of my m8's and it's mainly the comment he made about us not being welcome in promise that has ticked me off a bit.
the guy just posted some pics... i see people wearing clothes like that all the time and it makes no difference... i dont see any rockports or waxa's so why hassle the guy??? its smog btw
glowsticks disapeared ages ago mate so u must of just started going clubbing. You dont need to wear a cap in a nightclub you shud of kept it in your youth club. Im sorry if your offended but ive been going to Promise for around 3 - 4 years now and i feel the club isnt as good as it used to be partly cos people wear caps and dance with silly glowsticks and generally look scrufffy and like charvas.
Why not? Some people like to wear caps, some don't. Some people like to dress up a lot when they go out, some don't. Some people like to dress as the majority of others do just cos they're scared they might look slightly different, whereas some people don't care about people who'll criticise you for what you're wearing and prefer to dress how they feel comfortable and have a good night listening and dancing to the music. A simple accessory such as a cap shouldn't be a reason to judge somebody just like having a glowstick shouldn't be. Don't get me wrong, when i see rough looking groups of lads standing at the sidelines with their shirts unbuttoned and a face like shit, I assume they are the kind of people who are there to show how hard they are and make sure nobody dares to look at them funny. I'd prefer if they weren't in promise either.
Harper m8, since when have you been the dictator of the way clubbing goes? I see people with glowsticks all the time in promise, and there were loads at godskitchen the other night. Maybe it's not as popular and maybe it is people who are newer to clubbing that use them. (yes, there are still people who are turning 17/18 and are old enough to start getting into clubs such as promise). It's fun to use glowsticks if you like that kinda thing and everyone has their own dancing style so you can't come here telling me we shouldn't be going to promise because of it. If people wearing a cap, or dancing in a way you don't like is becoming a problem to u and it's causing you to judge people and brand people like you have then maybe you are the one who shouldnt be going to promise. Maybe you should phone foundation and ask them what their opinions are about haveing a list of rules that everyone must obide by before entering into promise such as the dance routine you must learn before setting foot on the dancefloor.
Mr.B.ThatsMe- Why get all wound up? Since it looks like you never took the time to read the link I gave you I copyied Harpers report of his last vist to Promise
listen mate, caps shouldnt be allowed in nightclubs full stop, they remind me of teenagers in youth clubs. You cant honestly tell me when u look at this picture that you dont look like tennagers in a youth club on a wednesday nite. Come on seriously, Promise is one the the nights in the north east u shud make more of a effort not to look like a scruf and a kid whos just walked in off the street.
yes but Spence i have some very silly mates who got caught with some silly smarties. The road signs im guilty as charged! First time locked up and the last JUDGE!
99% of people in there end up looking a scruffy mess at the end anyway... why the fuck does anyone have to look smart all night... its a club where you go to relax, dance, listen to music and chill with mates... its GOOD that it has a more relaxed clothing policy. a lad posts a few pics of him and his mates havin a good night and not causing any bother and he gets hassle for it. no wonder this board has turned shit recently... its because of the obnoxious clowns who think they own the place after a few posts
you think wearing baseball caps in a nightclub like promise is alright then? come on, trainers and tee shirts fair enough but baseball caps???????
whats wrong with them? if scallywags had them at gravity defying angles and went around acting like twats then yes... but ive seen loads of different hats in promise and they dont offend me... each to their own. i personally dont really wear hats often but fuck it... who am i, or you for that matter, to judge someone for having something as trivial as a baseball cap on? how petty can you go?
ok fair enough your opinion i just cant believe someone would get ready for promise walk out the door and stick a baseball cap on to go to a nightclub.:bang:
its not what i'd choose... but then again i dont see promise as a night i would put much effort into choosing my clothing... i like the relaxed atmosphere. i just thought it was unfair to criticise a new member for something like that... he seems sound. if i wanted to impress i would tart myself up for shindig
I did read it actually I'm not here to start mocking him though i'm just trying to work out why he found the need to say anything in the first place.. I'm not really getting wound up but i do like to prove something if i believe i'm right in doing so. I'm also just curious about his view on clubbing and the "types" of people that goto promise. Seems a bit odd to me.
Ive already told you have a read. Wot are you trying to prove then? wot seems odd? the fact of the matter is you and your mates are going to Promise looking like scruffs and putting the place down.
