I personally think the second one.....why would mark get the promise board deleted and everything if he knew all along it was coming back? if its coming back in feb then 1/2 months after the boat is nothing so why wouldnt he have just kept it?
He told me that if they found a venue where it would work well then it could start up again. I don't see what all the big fuss is about, although I understand where MoS is coming from if it's been planned all along, even though that's just the way things happen these days imo
Some1 told me that and I spread it a bit...WHO TOLD ME THAT!? I heard he was flying in and playing last hour lmao
I reckon it will work, but i reckon you'd have to say bye bye to all the big names just have good cheap dj's in a smallish venue and it would work.
nope..... if its not in foundation how can they get there money back on a big dj? They need a massive booking to fill any venue. plus in logic what club owner will want a trance night on a weekend when they could have a house/electro/hip hop night which will fill it?
taking digs at mark and promise is fucking old. discovering "electro house" does not elevate you to a higher social level... Taking sly digs is a bit sad, we all listened to trance/hard house at some point, we all liked going to promise at some point... why do people constantly feel the need to rip promise/trance/mark? have 10 scene points... y'all look cool Whatever mark was saying on the night (I couldn't understand a word he said in fairness - he made pete doherty look straight edge )... could of been the drink talking, could of been ego (no one likes admitting failure), but the more likely answer was he was dropping hints at what the future could hold for Promise... an updated music policy, a change in venue, an updated dj policy, etc. As a brand its one of the biggest in clubland (Certainly in the north east), to just ditch the brand completely would seem a bit daft in my eyes...
Most people on here, knew the rumours BEFORE the last promise that it WASN'T the last ever - HOWEVER my point is why then say it is publicly and do everything to erase it and references to it, only then to go 'aha! it's back' to it's punters? it's not giving the punters much credit Why lie about it finishing? the way i see it, a lot of people loved the night, the club, the music and the people involved - they all turned out, made the effort to support the night on it's final night and give it a good farewell - suddenly 'actually it wasn't really it's final night, it's just a stunt to get people talking' but again... we'll never know - only the cool kids who lig backstage constantly will ever know....
crawl out from marks arse you dickhead....... what im saying is common sense! if you owend a club would you want a trance night on a weekend? no digs at deakin at all im just on the wind up, i had many a good time at promise like everyone else (mainly upstairs).
house/electro/hip hop nights seem to becoming more mainstream than trance nowadays - the cool kids are gunna HATE it shortly... you all come back to trance one day
Exactly. What would be the point in totally dropping Promise for Vice, etc which no-one has a clue about? It was always going to come back imo
who you calling a dickhead? I'm hardly up deakins arse, I'm defending a mate... its funny how when people can no longer get a booking out of someone they let their true feelings show
