its a fuckin good point to be fair and pretty much typifies the scene in newcastle. All say they want something new but if it happens they dont go cuz all they want is something familiar or they wont bother thinking about it. It's a stupid circle that in the end wont get promise or the clubbers of newcastle anywhere but the same position it ended up in not too many weeks ago. Something has to give or else i feel it will all end in tears again. Respect to you tho Mark for giving it another go. May i suggest going with a varied line up tho. Couple of regular trance names mixed with some prog, breaks and house of sorts.
Bu promise wasn't really in trouble was it? Just old regulars moaning all the time. I definately wasn't sick of it and it never looked empty whilst i was there.
Maybe if there were a few questionaires around at the next few Promises so punters could say what/who they'd like to see in the future?
i think it was turning into something Mark didn't like anymore, the bookings that were having to be made to make it work - thats my take on the situation... it doesn't say anything about it being weekly or monthly again... could just be a one off or something... aahhh damn it - SEE his big announcements are BACK and we're fueling the fire!
People are gunna get carried away with this thread! Hint of smoke.......... and people are throwing the logs on already!!
nar, intimate gigs, up for it crowd is the way to go. super clubs can be impressive but sometimes soul-less fidds - u know something here sonny?
I hope that doesn't mean I've gone and jinxed myself. FUCK! Hope you get to the next one yourself too mate after the last one @ Foundation
