Quick note for Mark:

I just proof-listened to the mix i dropped off tonight - for some reason beyond me, there are lcicks and drops in the left channel.. I made a check - while the cable to my hi-fi was fine, it seems that the one to my PC recorder was a bit knackered...

The mix is canny if you can look past some of these imperfections, else I can re-do the mix if you need it spot-on copy, and drop it off with the door people tomorrow when Shindig is on.

All I can say is, of all the times for something to go wrong, it usually picks the worst time for me - hope this isn't going to reflect adversely on my entry.

i totally agree.. if the mixes were uplaoded 2 the site and/or handed 2 the technoorgasm/sunday trading teams.. we cud see more of these djs in action more often

we dont mind people sending us mixes, if good enough we will offer a slot at our LOST event.

also, we may even host a page full of local DJ mixes for those online to download.

same ere. but judjing by the amount of people that r entering the comp its lookin less likely ill b in it.

i think the likelihood of more than 2/3 people from the board getting through is unlikely really!!some people who are entering will have been doing this for years and years so for us new starters i think we've got a bit to yet before we can compete really!!

has the comp been advertised anywhere other than the board?

well its advertised on our website, the MWAH! newsletter, metro radio and mailing lists that i know of............

plus the people who go to promise but aint on the board!!

what about neil buckley, ian sheperd etc!!they play at nice and places and im sure they've got a good chance!
