Hmm, not a Greenpeace member then Si.:) Strong views but valid nonetheless. I haven't been back on the scene for long enough for any particular event to get on my tits. I loved GK 5th cos I feel the sheer size and scope of the big event sweeps you along. On the other hand, the familiarity and closeness of a Promise night is a completely different experience for me. Horses for courses as they say and right now I'll run (dance) on any surface.

So it's both for me.... :D

i'd rather be cut with a stanley knife several times and then boiled in vinegar than go to the telewest again.

it was like someone else said, clubbing gone horribly horribly wrong! :(

Numbers wise there cant be that much difference between The Tall Trees & The Telewest Arena.
I went to a Judgement Day/Retro event at the Tall Trees earlier this year I would say the crowd was better dressed than the arena crowd but the attitude in the place was worse.
The worst offenders were the young arrogant Yorkshire Asians.

100 people would make a big difference.. and just becuase it does hold 7000/8000 doesn't mean you'll get anywhere near that amount!

goodgreef is only pulling between 1000/1500 each week!

and that is spread over 3 rooms & levels with outdoors used aswell. so a 100 people would make a difference ;)

personally i think you'll get alot more than a 100 extra clubbers. not many of the empire regs bother with TT even for goodgreef.. but i think the likes of mr hardwick will tempt alot more of them to come out on the sat aswell!

You'll get a load more people... thousands of people up and down the country want to go to both promise and good greef, but a lot o folks can't be arsed to travel - collaborating will tempt more people to get off their fat arses and try both nights.

I personally reckon when gg come to foundation it will be a much better night as its a more intimate venue with a better crowd (in most peoples eyes anyhoo).

But I wouldn't be suprised if people travel for promise v gg... Think it'll pull a lot more than 100 extra folk (could easily pull 50 from this messageboard alone)

GG are pulling in the crowds they want for there nights, I'd say theres a bit more than 1500 people there, the last one was supposed to be empty but thats understandable cause of xmas. I'd say on average theres about 2500 - 3000 people in there from all over the UK.

I think it was the 2nd and 3rd were really full but its a big club and unless they can pull an all nighter event then its not gonna fill. Even Retro doesnt fill it from what Ive heard.......will on NYE though, 11,000 est. in there last year

retro has been between 5000/7000 all year long.

on goodgreefs busiest night there was only 3000 and its been slowly dropping each month.

    how very right you are!

it's a big generalisation (sp?) but @ retro which i goto every month it is predominantly this group at the root of all the trouble.

    go figure
