Yea i think Sea was just about the only place open on the quayside last night - like a ghost town when I drove down there at 8pm. There were still people coming through the doors at 1am like which I thought was impressive. Not sure if they were still paying full price? Agree that the crowd should of been a bit bigger but still busy enough to have a decent atmosphere I thought.

Why do these events give the djs such short sets

I know Mark was aiming for a balance of styles between the local jocks and the bigger name DJ's although DJ fees might have been less for an hour? although each time we've booked an act for Detox the fees are generally the same if it's an hour, two hours or whatever so who knows? I do know that the club itself would of cost nothing to use with it being an ultimate leisure venue and also two of the DJ's were stopping at a hotel on the quay also owned by the same leisure company....saving costs all round maybe?

It was pretty decent I thought highlights for me were hearing First Strike and Silver Bath (L)
seeing Anthony from Big Brother getting booted up the arse and losing his face
Sean Tyas apologising to me when I was at the bar for not being able to find True Form Forbidden colours then talking to him for a bit sound bloke!

early doors well slow, but i thought it was fairly busy later doors

its called variety versus 4hrs electro boredom

Sets should have been at least 1 hour 30 to 2 hours minimum for trance tho , the length of some of the trance tunes kicking about at the mo means a dj dosent really get the chance to play much in an hour !!!!
