The average flat costs 300 grand around here, and the average house is about half a million ...... so i think ill be renting till im about 50 i think ;)

... The sooner my folks move into a nice comfortable care home and leave me their house the better ;) j/k

Gonna have implications in the footy transfer market this summer. Not only will Euro2008 push prices up post tournament (as it always does), but British clubs are going to have to shell out a lot more Pounds than in previous summers for top players from European sides cos of the weak state of the Pound to the Euro

Aye am not looking foward to getting money changed for Ibiza, wanted 2000 euros which is gonna cost roughly £1650 compared to last year being under £1400.

*P.S - http://www.travelex.co.uk/uk/ Online currency ordering - Best price on the high street guaranteed, I never knew about this until I started working there, different rates to what they have in the branches.

Where I work is a fucking rip off. If you bought 100 euro today it'd be £90.71, then if you gave us 100 euro you'd get £67.24 - Daylight Robbery!

If you're with HSBC, get Bank Account Plus if you're going abroad. I got it for coming over here. You get free travel insurance with it and you can make unlimited free withdrawals with your bank card abroad at the actual exchange rate. I'm sure other banks will have similar schemes too.

Nationwide also do free cash withdrawals abroad, good thing to have considering everytime you use your card abroad from most banks you'd be charged either £3.50 or 2.5% of the transaction : which ever is greater (or something along those lines) not entirely sure I dont even take bank card on holiday, prefer cash myself.

We sell them at our place, had nothing but problems with the ones we sell so far since they started.

Had a family come back from Dubai absolutely foaming they'd only took couple hundred quids worth of Dirhams & loaded almost 2 grand (the rest of holiday money onto the Cash Passport, which was not accepted almost everywhere in Dubai, they had said they had tried everywhere restaraunts/shops/banks & could not buy anything or withdraw cash from any of these.

They said that the places were questioning the security of them, no chip & pin although it works of a chip & pin system?!? no name or anything on the card, they just look like a store card, no way i'd be risking it! Good idea but Travelex have definately fucked it up, hopefully the Post Office havent.
