Pointless Posts (Mostly by RANDOMS)!

Mark I think I'd fly off the wall if someone constantly criticised something I had a huge part in creating... What I think sloppy misses is that too him promise is a good night out and to you its your livelyhood - its more than justa job its something you take great pride and pleasure in doing...

Sloppy see's it as just another club and I know he loves the club, but most his posts are criticism.... I think the club will always get criticism on the site - its the very nature of the feedback, theres good and bad... I don't think sloppy is going out his way to piss anyone off... I do think he has the clubs interests at heart when he makes his points...

Some of his points I do agree for example:

lighting - I think could be more dramatic... it was much better on friday - but it can often just be a dark room - not my cup of tea - but a lot of people love it that way.

Anyways I deffinatly think you should carry on posting mark.. I think your touch to the message board seperates our messageboard form godskitchen, gatecrasher and the likes... the promise team actually are involved in it - just like they are the club... I think your commitment to the messageboard is noted and appriciated... even if you do get a little touchy at times

Think things need to calm down a little!!! There is a bit more crap being posted but then again it happens everywere. Personally I just ignore and never reply. I don't feel like I have to reply to every post but some do....which is fair play.

Sloppy> as far as people coming on and making 'arse lickin promise' comments, this is the Promise message board and naturally people come on and say how much they like or even love Promise. Would be a bit strange if people came on and slated it!!! The atmosphere on this board is something I've never seen on a messageboard before....although the Cream one from about 2-3 years ago was similar (as I LUV BROO/Helz will confirm) Although it did go tits up and bitchiness did come in, big style (ask Helz)...which was a shame!! I REALLY hope the same doesn't happen on this one!!!

i have witnessed big style the demise of cream and gurn.net

both started pretty small and went haywire...cream just lost the plot completely and it became uncool to be "nice"

as soon as people start policing what others say then it goes tits up and serious, we've probably all been guilty of posting random shit but its funny when its yourself...not when its other people with a humour u dont understand

same wif gurn, that all started when we were sick of the passion board at the time and chatting at an afterparty rowan n meza decided to make a message board just for our group of frieds....but it grew n grew n every1 pissed everyone off

i was really sceptical cus i thought it would be the same as the rest, full of club politics and bitching but i was nicely suprised!!!

i think promise is a very homley club and what makes us all so close and friendly is the fact that ppl like yourself are involved. the fact that u post on the msg board lets us know that u care about our views and you want to do something about it. i agree with all thats been said on here but even tho i dont know some of you, i think we all class eachother as friends, which is why when ppl come on here and post what some would say was a pointless post (i.e. bad day at hairdressers/college/uni etc) they are turning to people who they think can make them feel better about the sittuation. if you have a bad day then you talk to ure friends, and i think thats what some ppl on here are doing. as for the criticism, fair enough if its creative, but when ppl are just taking the piss n sayin what they hate about promise, then for all i care they can piss off, i dont mean to be harsh, but i dont come on here to read about why ppl dont like promise/piccatto/jules....if you dont like it, dont come, simple as that. this board is gr8, but i do think we need to understand how mark feels when stupid ppl bitch about the thing he dedicates his life to. and mark, dont stop posting, thats what makes this site unique!!!

i rekon its a ploy to get their post count up but it's impressing no body.. i could have posted a lot of useless shite up and got a big huge post count but i fell that the fact i just found a sweet in my bed is not a interesting enough or useful topic to warrant putting on a message board..

i aint got a problem at all...this board is here for people to air their opinions about promise and thats all i do

if i have a criticism of promise though i make it constructive, and infact i cant really remember ever criticisin Promise and if u check most of my posts u will see that i rate promise as one of the best nites out in the country...as for saying i dont like foundation, what is wrong with that? in my opinion it isnt that good of a venue, as i think its borin and as smart e said, i dont like the lighting in the club. At least when i say i dont like things i say why i dont like them unlike people who post "so and so is crap" or whatever.

i dont think i criticise promise though but i do compare it with crasher because both clubs in my opinion, have a very similar feel to them...which i thinkis good for Promise because as u say, crasher is 10 and promise is 2, so for a club so young as promise, to be compared to crasher which (in my opinion) is one of the best clubs in the world shows how good promise is. see what i mean?

A "random" is a term addopted by "cool" clubbers who belong to elite cliques, these cliques look upon outsiders as randoms... so the elite promise massive deem new folks as randoms... i.e. if your not a friend of a friend - your a random
