just wondering if anyone knows of nice places where they can reccomend where i can take my lass for a couple of short break when i get a few weeks leave. ive got 2 weeks coming up and im hoping to get a last minute deal abroad for the 2nd week but in the first week as she works id like to get away for a a day or 2 here and there.

i stayed in some log cabins in scotland and that was nice and went glamping (glamorous camping) which we did in a mongoloian tent,

idealy i want to do somthing thats not ure bog standard hotel/b&b unless its in a place where there is loads to do, and if anyone knows if anything is happening in places that sound fun let me know

money isnt really an issue with places to stay but idealy i dont really wanna spend too much bearing in mind ill be going abroad again the week after

    cheers peeps

Why dont you run with us big dawgs up at Slaley Hall.

Treat her to some treatments while you sauna, gym then play some golf or shoot some arrows.

We have opened the doors to commoners like you as well Jimi, checked shirts are now allowed in the bar

Stanley is nice this time of year. Couple of nice B&B's with cheap rates as well or you could stop in the local spa. Its a swingers hotel with themed rooms including a dungeon. There is a market every Thursday and Saturday so you can buy your lass a nice present. Stay away from the fish guy (fish shouldn't smell that bad). We've also got a Clearance Bargains shop. if you want a new TV its the place to be.

Take a chance and try booking 'The Fallen Angel' in Durham on the day you want to stay instead of in advance, bit of an arse on agreed BUT you can save up to £100 on a room, the owner will ALWAYS offer a heavy discount rather than have the room empty for a night.
If a bit of Coastal Living is your thing the 'Grand Hotel' in Tynemouth is spot on..but go Deluxe for a double sized Jacuzzi.
