Silly me. Tell you what you stick to doing the website or whatever you do and let Mark take care of bookings.

lol put your dummy back in child :p

Mark takes care of the bookings and I've been told he's booked the dj's.... I'm voicing my opinion just as you are voicing yours.... now can we talk like adults or are you going to throw another temper tantrum?

Yes I know who they are... just as I know who you are and just like I wont kiss your arse - I also wont kiss theirs.

I respect their opinions as I respect your opinions (and most of the mesageboard - bar nat ;) )... But this isn't going to stop me speaking my mind. I've been wrong on many occassions and I could well be wrong about these E n F.... But I personally don't think they'll pull a big crowd.... this has fuck all to do with their ability or quality it is to do with how well known/appricated they are by the promise regulars or potential promise customers.

I'm not the voice of promise - I'm someone who helps out on the website. But I'm surely entitled to an opinion?

i agree....people went to see picotto cos he had built up a name from chart success and word of mouth....but for alot of folks when they actually saw him live thier opinions of him changed

gabry fasano and ricky effe are unknowns to your average person, and both play a simliar sound to picotto...

...i cant see em pullin a massive crowd either

That says it all then - your confident... it doesn't matter what I think and I'm sure yelloboy and the don know this.... so I'm sure they couldn't give 2 shits what some little cyber gimp thinks.

I've always since day1 stated my thoughts on the board - sometimes people agree with me often people think I'm an opinionated shit ;) I know this... I'm not going to suddenly change this....

I haven't been offensive or criticised either of the DJ's... I think they're on par with les hemstock.... I don't think he'll pull a big crowd.... I think S.H.O.K.K (like mauro on a smaller scale) will pull a reasonable crowd off the strength of his productions and the strength of hard trance in promise. (I know both effe n fasano have productions but not to the same extent as shokk and Promise has a larger hard trance follwoing than techno).

Its not about pulling a big crowd its about breaking even... I know I have fuck all to do with this... but you've said many a times u can't run the club at a loss....

I hope both dj's work - I'd like to see them go down well in promise - I'm sure they will as we have a fair sized techno following.... I'm just saying in "my opinion" they may not pull a large enough crowd...

SHOKK will get a big crowd.

    Hard trance is big.
    SHOKK is a top producer.
people from all over will come.

i know ppl who are talking about it, and are travelling.

i dont think effe fasano will.
    but what do i know?

nothing if its not about trance :p

we finally got there in the end then. a few crossed wires on the way tho

well i'll be there definately. and last time mauro played promise i know of people who went away suprised cos they didnt think they'd enjoy it as much as they did. And the place was goin ape. he had people eatin out of his hands and there was still alot of people there were it has been known to start to empty!!

The man is a crowd pleaser imo even if ya didnt like the music you can still enjoy just watchin him work the crowd. :D :D :D

    *puts hand up*

ill admit to that, i enjoyed it alot more than i thought i would!!!

Ive always said, even though i dont like the kind of music picotto plays, the man is an entertainer, no matter what he is playing, he just always entertains!!

im not talking about the music playing, i mean him as a person.

at the telewest i was so tired and bored by the time he came on, but i stood at the front, and watched him, didnt really listen that much coz everything was sounding the same by then, but watching was entertaining, same at GKGG.

Some DJ's go on and play some tunes, occasionally look out to the crowd, maybe clap their hands once or twice, IMO thats not entertaining, fair enough the tunes they play are, but think how much better it would be if they hyped the crowd up more, Picotto IMo does that, and he does it well :)
