I have seen Picotto 3 times, The first two times that I saw him, he was good but I thought that the last time he was at Promise he was shite. Top producer though!!!!!!
That basically means that I havn't made my mind up about him. :dunce:

It's techno for kiddies who think they like techno, but don't like proper techno DJs (Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin etc)

Fisher Price Techno!  :p

Mauro at the moment is going through a huge change on his outlook to where he plays and who he plays for. This year you will see him playing NO arena gigs and maybe 1 or 2 festivals. At the moment we have only planned a few UK dates at a few well picked clubs and they will be going under the name of meganite (Que a plug for www.meganite.co.uk). The launch of meganite will be at Ministy Of Sound on April 19th and im sure there will be some surprises for the techno purists at these dates.

We launch the meganite brand at arc niteclub in NYC with a BIG techno Dj and we are doing a nite at the new club space in Miami for the WMC and the guest at that nite will be Marco Carola.

If you dont think Mauro is serious about his techno just keep your eyes peeled for meganite adverts, keep your eye on the website and maybe meganite will be coming to a club near you soon;) ;) ;)

As for the Ricky Effe and Gabry Fasano situation, no Dj started off as a household name so why slate them????

Whoever you (Smartie) are into im sure they were hardly heard of at the start.

The beatles at one point were "Nobodys" and look what happened to them.

Its alright for a god to rule his own church but when he converts other religons to follow him, thats when you know you are a real god.

The moral of the story being, play trance to a trance crowd is all good and well but converting them to your style is something else. "Which Picotto has done over the past 2 years"

That wasn't my point at all - my point was they wont pack foundation....

To make money and stay alive promise have to put dj's on that will pull a crowd large enough to at leats break even.

Its the main reason prog dj's aren't booked very often.

i dont think he has though...most people u talk to who are trance fans hate him

granted he has converted a few but IMO the majority cant stand his 'fisher price techno'
