Its a hard situation...there one was in my middle school who kept taking photos of girls and texting some of them when were 12 so he ended up getting sacked for it but nothing else came of it. He used to send me about ten texts a day and would top my phone up if I didnt reply...he also took photos of me and my friends in music. He text me asking me to meet him at 9 at night in a deserted park (when it was winter and got very dark) I was actually going to go. Text said "come and meet me at sooter park at 9 ive got a suprise for you" Katies mum overheard this and obviously rang and told my mum who took my phone and went straight into the school where he was sacked but I don't think they wanted the police to be involved. Looking back now this man could do anything to any1 and no1 would know... I think cases like this should be publicised. I duno if it would have gone on his record that he was sacked because of this? He was training to be a teacher..

very emotive subject.. and it is surprising how many people have first hand experiences of paedophilic behaviour like jess above.

i remember reading about a lad i used to go to school with, total loner type character, turned out he had a thing for small babies and was caught in wet'n'wild filiming children on a video camera. then they raided his house and found 1000's of pictures on his computer. i believe he was sentenced to something like 2 years.

general consensus amongst most psychologists is that paedophilic behaviour is almost untreatable. for that reason i think, whatever the cost may be, that paedophiles should be held indefinitely under the mental health act.

The scariest thing is really...until you are about 13/14 you don't start to realise peoples main intentions...you just think they want to be your friend etc and you hear all the time how they con children with no idea into thinking its a good idea and its not wrong type of thing

the answer is surely more education for children. however, do we really want to be talking to 8 and 9 year olds about paedophiles..? what happens to the innocence of childhood. it is obviously a very delicate subject, and i for one certainly wouldn't know how to approach it.

I just think its a subject kids don't fully understand. My mum has never ever let me walk anywhere on my own..at 17 years old my friend used to live half way down my street and my mum INSISTED I would have to meet her half way...Ive also always been told not to except things off weird men and stuff like you know the ones that offer kids sweets to get into a car but in a situation such as schools, doctors (I read a story about) etc where you are brought up to trust a person people don't ever suspect something

Why would you want to find his brothers/sisters?

I don't like the fact that my details can be so easily aquired. Can you remove yourself?

just asked my mum about the teacher I was talking bout and she said apparently he didn't even get banned just stopped him teaching there and apparently they tried to blame her because I had a mobile so long. Are they allowed to do that?

It's been over-publicised to the point where people are scared to let their children out. Paedophilia is nothing new and neither is rape, it's just that people are so outraged by this sort of stuff that they lap up all these sensationalist articles.

I know that if I have kids I won't be locking them in the house, I was always encouraged (told) to get out and play with my mates making treehouses or playing football and I'd hate to think that my kids grew up playing computer games and watching tv.

The odds are stacked against your kids coming into a dangerous situation like that but I think that people lose sight of this everytime they hear about a new holly/jessica type storey. Just because you hear about something on the news it doesn't neccesarily make it more likely to happen to you.

Hence the "what ever is this world coming to!!1111/the worlds gone mad!!!111" type replies that inevitabley pop up everytime a thread appears.

I set fire to my school toilets.

I swapped a flick knife for a clipper, I feel so conned when I look back on it. :(
