Paedophile Killed

The thing is, a psychopath, IE a truly, fundamentally bad person, who feels no remorse and no empathy, is NOT going to be a paedophile - the kind of person who sinks to the level of molesting kids is clearly emotionally fucked up, not emotionally devoid. They deserver pity, and should be put away in a mental institute, not a prison, for the safety of others.

A psychopath who kills kids ( and may also molest them, not because of any particular fetish, but because he feels so inclined and doesn't give a shit ), is IMO beyond repair and the ONLY case in which I would in principle advocate the death penalty.

Yes, it would be impossible to enforce, and isn't as clear cut as that, but that is my ethical stance on the matter :/

my point about them being incurrable is correct mate, put it bluntly you cannot take away their sickness, they will always have that bit a nonse in them but they can be controlled like you said with treatment and stuff. it would be virtually impossible to account/prevent them from reoffending even under strict supervision and treatment etc therefore thye should not be allowed in public

i think that if it was my child then yes i probably wud kill him or want to kill him, imo i think any parent wud BUT then you have to think about the fact that if you killed the pedo youd be locked up away from your child, so you wudnt feel any betta for it either!!

Nothing is more dangerous than a group of ill informed people, and it's by no means a 'one off' thing, this mob mentality and taking justice into there own hands is becoming ever more prevalent and while -yes- true offenders do deserve a harsh penalty, these are NOT the people to judge. as this story proves, mob mentality combined with a few dodgy rumours have ended up in this poor guy getting beaten to death?!?!?!?
