Allardyce has already came out said he doesn't want him, O'Neill who openly admitted he loved him has showen zero interest & a move back to Liverpool would be a waste of money for the Club as he simply wouldn't get a game. However I think he'd fit right in at ManU, they can afford to pay him a fairly decent wage whilst also resting on the fact they dont solely have to rely on him for results if he does follow trend & pick up an injury. He'd be brought on as & when required or as & when fit which would probably work well in that sense for them & he'd probably prove to be brilliant the little cunt. For us we relied on him to do a job week in week out. I dont think he's a shit player he's just one of these we continuously brand as ' Brilliant on his day' again which is very few & far between.
So Utd lose Ronaldo and Tevez, miss out on Ribery and Benzema and end up signing Owen. Sounds good to me.
Best news the clubs had all season. No more hanging onto false hope that Owen will pull us out the shit & justify his wages. Im so glad we have him off the books.
another classic "keep on saying it and we might one day believe it" quote & yeah you always have "smug martins" turning up late to collect his 5k a week pay rise i suppose
On a serious note mate are you completely stupid? Do you seriously think Newcastle will suffer from his departure & ManU will find some sort of gain? The guys played 89 times since leaving Liverpool in the 2003/04 season man, his track record is nothing short of appauling for top flight football. He'll be a token player for ManU nothing more nothing less. They've lost 2 massive players this season & need to start filling voids, they cant get Ribbery & missed out on Benzema. ManU have him on a 'Pay as you Play' deal which says it all really.
they are already talking about in the same mould as the "take a chance" deal that took a Frenchman from Leeds to OT many moons ago... Nuff said
I agree with Proudy - even when Owen was at Liverpool and Real, his injury record was terrible. He might make a good fringe player for Man Utd, but I reckon thats all you'll see of him.
It's also proving desperate times for Ferguson. he's only managed to sign Antonio Valencia from Wigan, there yet to sign anyone remotely close to Ronaldo/Tevez's level. who knows, the little prick will probably find form, get a contract renewal from ManU, get called up for England, win the world cup by scoring a clinching goal & end his career as a Legend
Did he also play for Boro.... Fuck I keep getting muddled up, sorry. Who you supporting this week again?
