Isn't it always the case on this board? Everyone is on a constant comedown!

I personally think it's brilliant. Couldn't give a fuck about how much money it will cost, the Government spends millions upon millions on fuck all to start with, it may aswell spend it on hosting pretty much the biggest show on earth! I just hope we can host it aswell as Sydney did.

I'll be trying my hardest to get down to some of the events, even though I'll be the BIG 30 by then!

all you tools muttering "waste of money" ....... its the cockneys that pay for it.. they are having a 20% council tax rise to pay for it (unlucky)

anyway.... do u think any way the government spends money is going to effect us? is it fuck. they have just spent billions conquering some tea towel wearers in the middle east, has that effected us?? has it fuck.

Council tax is dependent on your house price and is revaluated every 10 or so years and if there house prices go up so will there equity

Maybe you need a taxi mate ???

isn't equity in the property the amount you can actually borrow from your house i.e 95% of the property value less your mortgage?

Its how much you acually own so if the house price goes up then even tho you still owe trhe same on the mortgage you would get more if you sold it.

Negative equity is where you owe more on the mortgage than the house is worth

    the residual property value then?

do you mean own or owe, because how much equity you have doesn't really link with how much of the property you own, you could have just bought a place, paid two years off your mortgage, which is just interest, then prices shoot up and you have loads of equity but still owe 23 years on your mortgage?

Anyway the fact remains if the house prices go up in the area that can only be a good thing for those who own them.

I'm no mortgage expert, but i woul dbe happy if i lived in the areas that are going to get rejuvinated

The amount by which a entity's assets exceed its liabilities.

Which is what i said in longer terms with the liability being the mortgage in this case and the fixed asset being the property..
