You've always gave me the impression you came from a middle class background... your views are very middle england.

For some reason i thought you were from Guildford - I wonder what gave me that impression ;)

At heart i dont begrudge handing over a proportion of what i earn to people who have either worked their lives being citizens of this country and have earned the right to a pension or some healthcare ... And the same goes for people who genuinely need looking after.

With that in mind, then perhaps healthcare needs massive reform where it is reserved for those classes of people .... but anything above and over that uhould be paid for - With that perhaps things might cost billions less money, but people might think otherwise about choosing an unhealthy lifestyle, or applying for breast implants on the NHS?

... Either way the current situation is just NOT working in my opinion - and its not about to get any better. Maybe its time to start thinking about how a public health service can be stripped back to provide a level of care in line with the core intentions of a health system, but with none of the beauracracy and money wasting that the current system has.

Generalising a bit are we there Joe? I always thought your parents were incredibly rich - what are your opinions on how much tax you pay?

I have no problem paying high taxes.

Some would label my family affluent now - but both my parents come from humble backgrounds.

His views are middle england, how is that a genralisation?

I think his arguments are entirely valid, to say that because someone feels their taxes are too high that they have a middle england viewpoint is ridiculous - I could find you plenty of self emplyed lower socioeconomic grouped people who think their taxes are too high?

My parents are affluent, they feel their taxes are too high, but live near Pontefract in West Yorkshire - hardly middle england.

why shouldn't they be treat differently? because they are weak willed and are addicted to something?

The only people who should be refused treatment are animal rights campaigners who are oh so against tests on animals but then when they are ill don't give a fuck all of a sudden. hippy twats

Should stupid people who cross busy roads and get knocked over get refused treatment as well? ...or people who crash there cars driving over the speed limits? ...or people who take drugs and collapse? ...or old people for being old? Where do you draw the line?

Our nation is getting more obese by the day, refusing to treat them is not the answer to this problem.
