Oh right ... Yeh I'd expect a demo from any DJ who wants to play.

With no disrespect to those who are just learning to mix but I'd like to at least have people who could string a few tunes toegther.

I'd expect there to be... I know a few people off this board even though they probably wouldn't realise who I am.

I used to go Crasher with 'Wot'. I know that guy can mix, we've had many messy sessions mixing away all night.

Giving it a try wouldnt hurt but im not sure if it would work. The board is always dead nowadays so a radio station would be even worse. Wait untill things pick up again.

If I don't get home late tonight, I'll knock a mix up.

What about mixes with older tracks on them? A discussion in another thread got me hunting through all my old vinyl. Some of them I forgot I even had, but there's some crackers that still fit in well with new stuff today.

Who sits in front of their computer listening to internet radio, i certainly dont (or didnt when i had the net  )

Why limit things with time when you can offer music to some to listen to at a time that suits them??

    I agree with quick.

    It's all about "on-demand" now ;)

nonetheless I've got a shoutcast server with a nice fat pipe if you need a relay.

I don't think a great deal of internet radio.

Podcast would perhaps be a better idea imo, have a different genre/dj every month, in the same style as the essential mix? Or even fortnightly.

If your doing poscasts you might aswell just sack it off completely and get poeple to put a weekly mix for download on the music session on here.

    Theres absolutly no difference.

I agree with this... There is a mixes section on the forum.
Instead of saying podcast this net station that, why not have both? Something I mentioned in an earlier post.
