Damn Right! I get subjected to commercial shite all week at work on the radio and really don't need it when I'm out! What else do you suggest they play as background music spense? How 'bout a bit o' GABBA or Techno? Get real 'Soulful House' as I prefer to call it, is perfect background music for these type bars cos it keeps Charva's away and makes for a nicer enviroment for all! :D

These style bars playing soulful house music in Newcastle have become the commercial bars of 2003/4. I did like the first few nu bars but now its all become very samey & tried tested. THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THE BOAT OWN THE ATTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music wise: Disco,House, eclectic. I could list a load of sub genres & sub sub genres

I have quite a few gabba records so if you ever want to borrow some send me a PM;)

i think the point is that its reached saturation point...

revoloution and destination play different types of music!

    trents still a goodun...

the larger companies such as absoloute and ultimate lesiure have cottoned on to the 'barcore' thing and will cane it to make max profit... by which time we'll be clamouring (sp) for a bit of bigg... :D

Spence we used to play at the tanners every so often. They had good beers, good music, fit bar girls, old men in the corner! Was a class place!

Jambon hit the nail on the head when he said "HED KANDI is music for the idiots who are to classy for Liquid now!"

The last time I went to Hed Kandi the DJ was traincrashing all of the mixes and playing Pink "Get The Party Started" - nice!

I still like the Appartment as it is nice. It's proper pretentious but the cocktails are lush! Plus its always fun laughing at the wanna bes!

used to be good.......they are baltantly just keeping all the profits instead of spening any on the upkeep of the bar though...which makes it look shitty.

also some of the beer is flat
