I nearly gave up watching F1 when ITV got the rights. But I continued. Schumacher's dominance also nearly put me off, but I now treat it akin to the Scottish premiership. No British GP though? Its the circuit that I know the best (probs from too many computer games!) and over half the F1 teams are GB-based. All the fans that have gone year after year, whatever the weather, whatever traffic problems there has been (this have been sorted now BTW) and made it a fantastic day out. Its all about Bernie's wallet being larger than than his bird's tits. To get more, he's fucked off to Asia where they can get cigarette sponsorship. Does he really think he'll get true die-hard fans in Asia that will watch every race all year round, sometimes getting up at silly o'clock to watch them?
I think it's terrible, personally. the first proper grand prix was held in the uk in the 50's and this is the first time since then that we dont have a showing. if bernie was willing to flash some more of his own cash towards it than there's no reason why it should stop...
I would much rather see a GP in the streets of London than at Silverstone any day, having said thay it will be canny shit if there is no British hosting for a GP next season, even though the sport is 100% bullshit these days
Once Jenson go's to a good team with a quick car, He'll destroy Schumacher. He's done too well in a standard car with no accelleration this year .... once he's with a good team he'll be the mutts nutts.
I can't see a London GP getting off the ground. Monaco is well dangerous as it is, London would surely be worse. And I doubt that London would want to be covered in Armco barriers for weeks while the track is being prepared. Nice dream though.
