Bollocks. Been quite a few times and its never been full. Atmosphere is non existent! Last time I went you had to play music to get the fans up for it. Thats what they do at basketball games not football matches.

There are very few teams in our (or a similar one) position that do pull a full stadium... especially playing dismal midtable, relegation or first division football (which we did under robson and still do sometimes under mcclaren)... I have never had a problem with our atmosphere, in fact there are not that many games I can think of where we have had a flat atmosphere... although I have seen our fans outshout other teams fans at away games... including newcastle.

Also we are now a 'family club' and attract the highest percentages of women and children in the league, thats gonna make a difference... I sit in the north stand and the atmosphere is almost always electric...

teams cheat to help their teams win & score more points...simple as...as sad as it is, it is unfortunately part of the beautiful game these days...the way i look at it is...i'm not going to condon it cos i don't agree with it but if we get a pen & score then i 'm not going to hand it back...& it makes up for the time swhen teams should've had pens but didn't get them!! :D

I've watched the incident a number of times and still couldn't be 100% certain whether it was a penalty or not.

FACT is Perry stuck his boot where he shouldn't have and Roberts momentum meant for me you could argue it was a penalty. It's the theatrics that cast the doubt.

Lee, St James is hardly jumping from the kick off to final whistle and it's easy to get tickets for. I just bought 6 for the Everton match.

Atmospheres declined with the loss of terraces and the increased number of families going to games.

And boro play 'pigbag' before the match and after goals... stirs up a right atmosphere... its better than the north-east theme at toon games! ;)

Yeah... opposition fans have habit of making it backfire on us... when we lost 6-1 to arsenal their fans ripped us to shreds... I still love pigbag tho! ;)

it goes 'reeet off it' in the empire on thursdays when the dj drops pigbag, you have to dodge the red stripe tins :D.

best fans in the premier league at the moment by a long way are portsmouth and last year west brom were, no others come close.

    worst probably villa or leicester.

there is very little to choose between the two grounds in terms of atmosphere.

if both teams are winning the buzz is good, if not both sets of fans are less vocal and only help in creating a nervous atmosphere for their players.

Charlton are doing a lot better than spurs. It was a blatant dive,Perry was even pulling out of it as it happened. Shearer is just getting as good as he gives out against Perry and that last team they played in Europe. He's an expert at backing in to the defender and getting a free kick and when he doesn't get it, he starts getting really worked up
